She is cuddling with me & eating out of my hand- very friendly, unafraid of people, another reason that DOW wasn’t interested.Need some pictures but just because you can pick it up doesn't mean it is a tame bird. If it ain't it's against the law for you to mess with it. Personally if you have any wildlife rescue I would call them before you do anything else.
Can you take some pictures of her and the wing? She is cuddling with me & eating out of my hand- very friendly, unafraid of people, another reason that DOW wasn’t interested.
That make me so angry. Whether it's a duck or an eagle, it's still injured.Yes, but they are not interested in an injured duck.
No unless they have it in writing on a legal document. That make me so angry. Whether it's a duck or an eagle, it's still injured.
If she turns out to be wild, tell them you'll foster her?
Oh, and since they told you to do whatever you want, doesn't that make you immune to prosecution?![]()

I used to work for a wildlife rehab- not run by DOW. We took in everything, even invasive species do that they couldn't spread disease. We had ducks, parakeets, swifts, doves, pigeons, starlings, jays, crows, owls, hawks, finches, cranes, plovers, egrets.... you name it.That make me so angry. Whether it's a duck or an eagle, it's still injured.
