I have an elderly Rouen hen duck, who was rather weak when I found her in the coop tonight.
She was also dirty, and very light.
I took her inside, washed her off, and then noticed that she wasn't breathing through her nostrils.
I wiped at them with a q-tip, which came away bloody. The nares were also strangely soft.
She does have hard areas near her tush, so egg binding is possible, and to further support that, her poop is very small and watery.

She's now sitting on a rag over a heating pad, in a box by my bed.
She was able to waddle across the room, but she's still rather weak.
I've been able to give her some water, as well as a few pieces of greens, but not a lot.

I think they are somewhat soft naturally, not rock solid, but not super soft either.
Could she have tried to eat something that cut her mouth? Did you check inside the mouth?
Or could she have gotten into a fight with another critter?

A warm Epsom salt bath might help her, although plain water may be better so she can rinse her nares fully herself. When did she last lay an egg?
