My pekin, thought to have bumblefoot, ended up having some bad calluses, but no signs of bumblefoot. At first, when we thought he had bumblefoot, we were soaking him in epsom salts, and I guess he didn't like that, because he jumped out of my arms, from about 5 feet in the air. I rushed to pick him up, examining him for a break, but luckily there was no (obvious) sign of a break. I noticed him limping the next day, so I checked him again, expecting that the cause of his limp was the fall. His leg was really swollen around the knee area. (I'm not sure if it's called a knee...
) Anyway, he won't walk on it, and it's clearly hurting him. I don't know if I should wait for it to heal, or give him something like aspirin to help with the pain. can I speed up his recovery?
