Two of them were my own rescue incubations. The one that passed and one other were bought from tractor supply co. as companions just incase anything happened to either of the first two (i've heard raising them alone can cause psychological problems)

Hmmm. How many ducklings including the dead one were in the incubator? Can I see the entire brooder?

the dead one and the other tractor supply duckling never interacted with the incubator, but i hatched two ducklings in it. There are four total including the one that died (three now) in the brooder.

the picture up top is the brooder, the ceramic heating lamp heats one half to about 95 while the rest stays cooler, and i make sure the water stays on the cool side. though i do shuffle around where the food sits for a bit of enrichment.

they also go out on daily walks for exercise.

about fifteen to twenty minutes, depending on the weather, since i don't want them to get cold (though the temp outside's been about 80)

I am very sorry for your loss. The only way to know what the cause of death was would be to have a necropsy done. What state do you live in?

Feeding medicated feed will not harm ducks.
That is a myth.

the medicated feed doesn't matter any more so that isn't a worry.
