Duckling deaths - odd

A 1 gallon poultry waterer, the ones with the red bottoms from tractor supply. Switched to a tin baking pan half full and never had a issue again.

Edit to add: they were 1-2week old ducklings at the time

Thoes are fine I have always used them producers pride brand? That's what mine has and one other brand with all the chicken stuff. But I always grab the producers pride brand. I had a few duckling die within a day, the cause was the water dish wasn't deep enough for them to get enough water to help with eating, they faded out quickly.

It's strange . Have 6 muscovies and all did fine with it growing up, the others had issues, they did grow quickly though.

The feed is dry. I check it after someone in my area found mold in a brand new bag of feed.

Does their poop look normal? Do they have access to warmth and cool areas? The brooder should not be too overly warm for them.
