I have lived many places.  Generally I've found that awesomeness is equalized.  The better the place is, the cruddier the people (of course there is always a range, it is just where the peak of the bell curve is positioned) and vice-versa.  So if Banty truly lives in the armpit Ralphie describes, I am sure it has only the most awesome people (such as Banty) around and you should take her up on her offer.

Edit: by better, I mean things provided by the place - shops, theaters, clubs, not that can be appreciated about the place - mountains, rivers, trees.  Appreciation comes from inside you and is subjective.

I agree with you totally Tony. U get it. It's sad how people are. This place was so laid back and friendly in the 90s, early 00s.
