I agree with you totally Tony. U get it. It's sad how people are. This place was so laid back and friendly in the 90s, early 00s.I have lived many places. Generally I've found that awesomeness is equalized. The better the place is, the cruddier the people (of course there is always a range, it is just where the peak of the bell curve is positioned) and vice-versa. So if Banty truly lives in the armpit Ralphie describes, I am sure it has only the most awesome people (such as Banty) around and you should take her up on her offer.
Edit: by better, I mean things provided by the place - shops, theaters, clubs, not that can be appreciated about the place - mountains, rivers, trees. Appreciation comes from inside you and is subjective.
