I know, right? It's all what you're used to, though. I think 110 is pretty common for there this time of year. I'm wondering...once it's that scorching, does 122 really feel that much different?

but in phoenix its a dry heat? The predicted high temp for Phoenix today is 122. Yes, 3 digits! Their low temp is 90. Can you imagine!? They expect power outages because everyone will be running AC nonstop.

Um, LOW? As in night time temp??
Does AC even help any at 122°F?
Can you go outside in that weather and still breathe?

Hear, hear. 122 is 122." I don't give a poop dry or not"...
Hear, hear. 122 is 122.
I don't agree with the 49th parallel part, but the rest sounds okayI am so glad to see you agree with the Ralphie theories!
Scrabble tournament! That is hilarious! You are a man of many wordsPhoenix is use to this stuff. I was going to go there for a scrabble tournament years ago. I backed out, the forecast was for 120 degree highs.
I was also told the dry myth. My thought was " I don't give a poop dry or not"...
This is not a modern day (global warming myth) thing. Look at the historical highs for Phoenix.

This supports the Ralphie Theory #297.
A Ralphie theory has never been proven wrong in all of history.
The theory is simply and lengthy for accuracy:
There is a narrow band of the Earth fit to inhabit. Everything north of the 49th parallel is still wilderness and uncivilized. While the conditions might be suitable for mankind to thrive there, it has not happened yet... This area is known as the Vast wastelands of the south.
Everything South of what was once known as the Mason Dixon line is not worth attempting to civilize. There are claims of pockets of civilized people down there, be these are most likely wild claims but person drunk or high on opium. We do know certain outlaw types try to live there, but it is a harsh existence and those "hominoids" are more beast than human..
It is also assumed there is a similar region of inhabitation on roughly the same parallels south of the equator, but again that is theory and not proven....
