Duckling Diaries: the Life and Times of a Welshie Trio

Guineas have some redeeming qualities though..
Like being the only things awfuler than you?

They'll definitely push the boundaries and some ARE worse than others...but they'll only harass the birds that give in and run. No different than people. Be strong and confident...and everything'll be fine. Key is to give the confidence to the chickens by always allowing them to learn a pen first. Guineas are incredibly smart! ;)
Then the guineas are ferociously attached to the original flock and will murder new birds. Been there, done that. :th

August heat is unbearable.....No doubt about it...

I would still have guineas if I did not have neighbors with chickens and did not like visiting guineas. When I told them they were eating wood ticks they liked the guineas a lot better... BUT with their sloppy chicken habits I cannot let my guineas brings a disease back to my flock.

Guineas are one poultry that does not belong in a cage.
