Like being the only things awfuler than you?Guineas have some redeeming qualities though..
Then the guineas are ferociously attached to the original flock and will murder new birds. Been there, done that. They'll definitely push the boundaries and some ARE worse than others...but they'll only harass the birds that give in and run. No different than people. Be strong and confident...and everything'll be fine. Key is to give the confidence to the chickens by always allowing them to learn a pen first. Guineas are incredibly smart!![]()
August is a month of terrible heat, and this year, of terrible poultry. I'm unsure which is worse.Oh there you are!![]()

They didn't even like chicks in the flock from day 1 with broodies. Miserable beasts. You're not supposed to get new birds.![]()

This is the sole place where we agree: guineas and hot weather are both awful. So we're gonna go there? So it's gonna be like that?
That's ok. You side with Ralphie all you want.![]()
Hey, you're the one that calls them drug dealers and muggers.August heat is unbearable.....No doubt about it...
I would still have guineas if I did not have neighbors with chickens and did not like visiting guineas. When I told them they were eating wood ticks they liked the guineas a lot better... BUT with their sloppy chicken habits I cannot let my guineas brings a disease back to my flock.
Guineas are on poultry that does not belong in a cage.
