Duckling Diaries: the Life and Times of a Welshie Trio

It was clearly a MASSIVE mistake to come back to BYC. How am I EVER going to get down to a number of birds that I can easily care for while working a full time job with all these adorable pictures?!?!

Down? Why do you want to get birb numbers down? You have a flawed understanding of chicken math. :D

Alas, truthfully, when you spend all your spare time doing the chores for the chickens (struggling to do so properly in the winter when it's dark when you come home from work), such that you aren't able to properly spend time enjoying them... :( I've got 10 coops running right now. Need to get that down. On the bright side, when I do get down in numbers, the chores will seem like a breeze in comparison!

BTW, I don't have a duck that stands at my feet, but here are pics of Muffin, my cuddler. She stands at my feet while I rinse the waterers, and pecks at my pants/legs if I don't pick her up promptly enough for her daily cuddle and hug. (Second one is a better pic of Muffin than me - I was trying to get my phone to work to take the photo...)

Just finished a big crazy period this fall - final exam was at the end of last week. I still have some grading to do next week, and some catching up on other stuff. Then holidays, then back at work, a bit of a lull before the next module I direct, and it starts all all over again. :th

My management company for our school food service made us bake homemade cookies for the last 12 days leading up to Christmas break :he:barnie
If I didn't already have carpal tunnel I do now!

Poor girl! Any chance you could combine them for winter, when it's too cold to breed?
