(I have been having a relapse ever since Tucson SAT in my lap and stuck his bill in my hand and his warm webs on my lap this afternoon. I nearly died of cute!!!)

I can't believe I'm asking this, but.....

Do call drakes try and "service" large ducks? Or would they let the welshies alone and not fight Tucson for "rights"? Cause I don't know if two drakes and 3-5 ducks (I'm hatching more, and I'm sure I'll keep some

) would live harmoniously. And I don't think one of my neighbors (forgot about them before when I was thinking of calls) would like a noisy Burd quacking a lot so I wouldn't be able to get females..... Or half call females....

Not that I am looking into maybe getting a call drake or anything!

LOL, the girl i'm giving my eggs to has a call drake in with all her cayugas, and she just hatched an egg that she is very sure has a call daddy LOL

I'd have them read up on Call hatching... Cayugas are a good experience, but Calls are a whole 'nother ballgame...
A Call drake is just like any other drake... but in more concentrated, compact form... yes, I have seen a Call 'ride' a big girl...

I'm just sorta curious because I absolutely LOVE Call Burd with much sweet and web and cheeks with short bills and ROUND. I love round of call burd. And I wondered if I could have male call burd so he wouldn't make noise. I free range my chickens anyway so escaping wouldn't be a problem, and the bad neighbor with all those dogs isn't here any more!

Just hearing you describe them makes me want them even more!
