Duckling Diaries: the Life and Times of a Welshie Trio

I will try and get a pic. Her attitude is improving still, and she's got her old spark back. Stands well on her single web.

BTW, anyone know how much feed a 4lb duck should be eating per day? Not sure how much I should be getting in her.
According to Metzer's a Pekin duckling at 4lbs should eat 2.55 lbs of food / week, drink 1.26 gallons of water / week and poop 4.7 lbs of Manure / week. So that would work out to 5-6oz of food / day. I would guess a growing Pekin eats a bit more than a grown duck, so I would think 3-5 oz would be right. That is just a guess, but you can start with that until someone with a better idea can tell you. I also did a calculation on the Casey prolapse thread and figured my average duck was eating about 4oz of food / day (they also get other treats but that is their average duck food consumption). This is based on me going through a 50 lb bag in 2 weeks with 15 ducks. My average duck is probably 5-5.5 lbs.

How's Casey's appetite?
It's picking up. Tomorrow, She probably won't get a syringe and we'll see how she does then. She has more of an appetite now on a 1 to 10 scale: worms: 10, peas: 7, lettuce: 6, food: 3-4, but seriously she's getting 120ml of food slop / day doing nothing, so she probably isn't truly "hungry." At least she's eating food now. I bet when she has an empty crop, she'll eat more

That is a picture of "Duckling" Moptorcyclechicks" daughter. She posted it the other day and I thought it was so cute I asked her If I could use it.

I would love to know the story behind it.

Duckling wanted to watch the ducklings swim. I should have turned on the burner to "keep them warm". The spoon was because it was just too funny!
Somewhere I have "puppy chow" too. My Pom as a young pup in a stock pot.

Me thinks @MotorcycleChick
best come here and explain herself or explain why "Duckling" is cooking up ducklings?

She was only too happy about actually cooking a duck, and eating it this past year.

Joking aside, I am not happy with how Chrissy's web is looking. The swelling is down and the web is stiff at the edges. I don't know if she's going to keep her foot... :(
