Duckling Diaries: the Life and Times of a Welshie Trio

I can have too many BIRB actually. 9 ducks are currently eating as much as 25 chickens, and hauling water in winter seems a non-stop and extremely messy chore.

When it doesn't get above 0F for two weeks you rather start doubting your decision to have NINE messy water-spilling web bearers. Don't get me wrong, I love my little things to pieces and wouldn't part with a single one for a million bucks, but more? Err... maybe if I had a giant covered run and an easier way to keep water in front of them. I love the little goofies SO much but at some point reality kicks in, usually around the time I'm doing the 5th water run of the day in below zero weather.
Poor Banty, enslaved by BIRB. I feel your pain. :th
