Hi okay a month ago I found an abandoned duck egg over the weeks it has been developing beautifully until yesterday( day 29) I candled it and it wasn't moving!

I though it might be resting until I candled it again yesterday night! Still the same. Today twice I candled it and the same thing. I'm super worried plus I noticed that near wat I think is its tail is a red yellow thing it might be the yolk but could it be a blood streak? The only thing that has lifted my hope a little is that it is not smelling at all! Still super worried plz help!!!!!!

One more thing it is a Muscovy egg and was very alive and healthy before this

Do you have any idea as to what kind of duck egg it is? If it is a Muscovy egg, the incubation period is approximately 35 days.

If that is the case, you are right on course. As the embryo grows, it becomes more difficult to note movement when candling because the entire egg is becoming filled with 'duckling'. Hopefully it will hatch.

But still I looked really close and there is absolutely no movement no twitching or kicking and I read in other places they said that the ducklings were moving alot on day 30 but I think your right thank you
