Duckling Eye Issue!

Hi guys, so I have had a full batch of ducklings hatch recently and I haven't had issues with any, but this last one that has hatched won't open its eye and I was afraid maybe it wasn't born with one. It looked like it had some dried gunk on it from hatching, so I very gently wiped it off and I looked into its eye just a bit and it looks like there is some white goop up in the corner of its eye. Does anyone know what this is??? I checked on it this morning and it seemed to open its eye just a bit, but the white goop is still there and I'm not sure if it is permanent on the eye or if the eye needs flushed with some clean warm water. I would really appreciate the help guys!

It’s not uncommon when some of the egg contents get stuck on the eye. When the eye gets irritated from foreign matter it will excrete mucus in an attempt to self flush. For these cases I wipe with a warm damp towel twice a day for the first couple of days which usually clears it up. If it continues I apply terramycin.

Ok thank you! When I get home, I will try cleaning it out and see how that goes
