I think it's too small to be a gosling, but would you look at those claws? I'd put money on muscovy ^_^

About half way down the page is a picture of a duck and ducklings that include some yellow fuzzies.

I agree the duckling is a muscovie and will be barred. There are some pictures of barred and ripple muscovies on this page also.

I would venture to say that the duck you found is a domestic duck and not a wild duck so having it would not be against any law! I have not seen to many baby wild ducks that are that yellow. I would say a call or pekin perhaps. Good Luck

Here is a picture of one of my barred Muscovy ducklings for reference. This was a Blue Barred, Pied i guess you would say... I will also add a Juvenile Pic of Freeb.

The bill & body shape >to me< just scream Muscovy.

If it turns out anything like my boy it's going to be GORGEOUS.

PS: some muscovy ducklings are VERY tiny for a while after hatch.
