Duckling gender based on voice?

The males make a raspy sound.
Much easier to hear the difference at about eight weeks.
I usually take them one at a time far enough away so I don’t hear the other ducklings.

I’d guess the one you’re holding is a boy.

The one’s making the slight honking sounds might be girls. For girls, the honk will get louder and become a full, loud quack between 6-8 weeks.

Sometimes boys can have the honking at this age, but it’ll fade away quick. For the most part, boys will have a raspy peep-peep and will get their mature, raspy voice at around 10 weeks.

Thank you! I will wait a few more weeks. Maybe I’ll post another video with each individual duckling once their voice is more pronounced.
