Duckling hasn’t internally piped yet, he’s trying but I’m VERY CONCERNED about this bruise and odd air sac. I just added more photos to thread.

He will be fine now that he has air
After 24 hours I like to Make the home a little bigger about dime size
Then leave then be for another 24 hours
It takes a long time when they miss the air cell but they can make it
I don’t think it’s the Muscovy part on why you are having issues
It’s cause she was new to laying eggs and her eggs are smaller still
This makes it very hard for babies to turn to hatch
I know from experience but learned my lesson. But it’s also why I can help others as I had everything that could go wrong in a hatch happen
But I still got babies who are now over a year old

Hi friends,

If you’ve been following you’d know my duckling in lockdown was malpositioned and I had to make a safety hole over the bruise and gradually made it bigger as the days wore on.
This morning I came down and he had his foot out and while I was watching he gave a big push and BLOOD started oozing out!!!
I tried not to faint and quickly put him in a cup lined with paper towel and put him back in the bator.
WHERE IS BLOOD COMING FROM?
I can see him, he 65% out! He was looking right at me!
I can’t figure out where he’s bleeding from and WHY!
PLEASE HELP ME!

I just made a new post, I was at work all day yesterday and couldn’t post.

I came down this morning and his leg was out, I talked to him and saw his head popped out.
All of a sudden BLOOD started oozing out of the shell!!!!
After I almost fainted I put him in a cup lined with paper towel and back in the bator.
IS HE GOING TO DIE?!?!?
I’m in tears!!!

Did you get the bleeding stopped ?
Was it from blood veins or him pushing out if the shell ?
Could you see yolk sac ?

Where is the bleeding coming from? You need to stop the bleeding

Only you can tell us where the blood is coming from, either veins or naval
can you have a look? Is there any yolk left?

I agree check to see if it’s from the cord
Make sure to get the bleeding stopped
You can’t just leave him and not know where it’s from

This is baby. second photo was from last night. First is from this morning. I wish I knew where the blood was coming from!! I used my flashlight and can’t see anything where it could be coming from! Ugh!
I can’t lose another!
