I wonder! You know when I looked at those pictures I thought something was different and coudn't put my finger on it but you're right, it is the bills that are different! Those bills look really weird to me—almost like a Dutch Hookbill's.

I'm wondering if the farmer has some stock he's misidentified. "Khaki Campbells" my left foot.I wonder! You know when I looked at those pictures I thought something was different and coudn't put my finger on it but you're right, it is the bills that are different!
I KNOW! We're not too stressed as it's our first attempt in general and we're open to a learning experience... but they ARE weird! I actually stumbled across a discovery after the fact - the farmer has a chicken breeder website, with select ducks and geese also listed and she says she has khakis, runners and call ducks - BUT none of the photos of the birds are of her own - they're taken from Google (unlike her chicken photos). I would be certainly disappointed if this was an intentional deceit on her part, rather than an honest mistake.I'm wondering if the farmer has some stock he's misidentified. I doubt that they're pure, if they are hookbills at all.Well, if they are hook bills that would be kind of cool because they are so rare!

The first one certainly looks like a Cayuga, the Second with double eye stripes is a Rouen. The third looks like a khaki but the bill is short, so it could be a cross with a call. The last looks like a khaki as well.
Thanks! That confirms what an earlier poster said so I’m hopeful! 2/4 khakis is not bad! I also feel pretty confident the Rouen is the only drake! A reasonable egg-laying potential in that case!
