Duckling impacted crop with straw

I have a lethargic black duckling I'm watching for someone that has a piece of straw in her crop. I can feel it. She has been eating and drinking well. I've given her chick grit and save a chick and she seems to be responding to it a little. I got rid of the straw. Is there anything I can do for her to get her to pass the straw and get back to stable health?

There's this video on this site that's an extraordinary video of a hen having her impacted crop operated on. Look it up as Impacted Crop Surgery ( with video). Wow. Useful, educational, but also leaves you with the feeling you couldn't have dealt with it except by surgery.

But maybe your duckling is not as impacted? Wait until the morning and see if the crop is less full?
