Duckling making weird sounds

Hi I'm new to the duck world. Just a couple days ago a week old duckling wandered into our house with no mother anywhere. I set it up with everything it needs and it seems pretty healthy. My question is do they change their sounds? At first it was chirping but now for a day or two it's been making a very quiet noises. Sometimes it open and shuts its mouth like its chirping but no sound comes out. Is there something wrong with it? It eats and drinks fine, the noise thing has me worried though. Any help would be great, thanks!

Have you been letting it swim in warm (80F) water every day? Ducklings can get all kinds of schmutz in their nares (nostrils), and are at risk of eye, ear and sinus infections without being able to clear their nares and wash their little heads frequently.

Also, do you have food with water available 24/7?

Just wondering how you based your age estimate on the duckling . . .

What feed are you using? Temperature in the brooder?

And don't forget ducks are social you cant have just one they get nervous and flaping bills can be a sign of stress.
