If they came from TSC that is a white layer and the bill color is normal. That looks like a very healthy duck. Sounds like your vet is not Avian? I wouldn't worry. White layers are great ducks.

Yes, I can see how they might "catch" the floating cotton wood seed! It is like snow here too!I absolutely have the room for a run for them. We have an issue with cottonwood snowing at the moment, and little basil had to have it removed from her crop, so the vet said to keep both indoors until the "snow" is over.

The duckling May have come from your friends mums property.I will ask her when she comes off of assignment again for debriefing. She may have also got them from her Mum's property in Tennessee. She did go there before venturing north to see us, then back to post.
Do they have standoffish temperament? Are they duck bullies by nature too? I read that pekins are bullies to other ducks, which seemed to fit her personality!!!! Poor Charlie is constantly being pecked at.They are great ducks @WannaBeHillBilly time to sell the tanks here.
