Duckling tends to sit a lot

We have seen birds (especially Pekins) being fed a diet for ducks and still have problems, so I would suggest adding a niacin supplement to their diet from here on, once they age the likely hood of them developing leg problems becomes less likely.

i do add some of the brewers yeast sometimes, they don’t really seem to like it, so hopefully the vitamin b will work out better so nothing serious happens 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

well, since it's a pekin I think it might be a good idea to start her on B-complex from tractor supply. Pekins grow so fast their legs don't seem to be able to keep up. It will be very good for her. 1ml over some tasty treat she will eat right up.
This is what you want to get.

Can this happen in runner ducks too? I have week old runner ducks but the one seems to be sitting a lot. They have been growing reallyyy fast.

If you're at all concerned you should be adding extra niacin - it won't hurt, they will pee out the extra. Do your runners have a duckling starter feed? If they're only one week you could probably just start sprinkling some nutritional or brewers yeast over their feed. It seems that a deficiency probably wouldn't start that early - they're still very young!

I just started adding brewers yeast a day or two ago, and yes they’re on duckling starter. I have the supplement stuff to try to help them but just worried because she’s the only one sitting a lot.

I think you're doing fine and it's not a deficiency at only one week old. She might just not be quite as strong as the others. Does she have any leg deformities or does she walk normally when she does walk? Some ducklings are just not quite as hardy.

Her legs are good and she can move pretty good too. I’m a first time duck owner so this first week has been stressful lol!!

Just try to relax and enjoy it. As long as you keep the food and water going and the cleaning up, they will be fine. The first weeks are so precious! Spend lots of time sitting by them and holding them on your lap.
