Duckling Thread!

My ducklings are hatching today, so far 8 hatched and 3 eggs left with movement inside but not piped. Momma is a Welsh harlequin, shes hatching out eggs from herself, my cayuga and my black swedish.

And yes its normal for them to kinda roll and wobble at first, they are extremely tired from hatching.

TY sooo much for the help. She is resting now. I did put a wash cloth in and put her on top.

Got a question now, if I put her mom with her will she know it is her baby?

I've never tried that, I dont think so, cause the mother experience things like going broody that makes her bond with the ducklings when they hatch. If you had a duck that was hatching eggs out now, you could slip it under there I think.

She just went broody so no eggs have hatched yet

How long should she stay in the bator?

if your brooders a constand 99 degrees and lined with a towel or something they can go right away. i let mine relax for an hour but if theirs enough room then you can wait till they dry
