Duckling Thread!

I have a couple questions for you ducky people. My 3 pekins are 2 weeks old today. They have a Brinsea eco glow that they go under pretty rarely now. They are in my living room in a pen but I’m thinking of creating their temp outdoor pen today. My house is 72degrees and they don’t go under their heater much. Outside its highs of 88 and mostly lows around 70 the whole week. I’m upstate New York. Their pen will be secure, their house is totally secure at night. What do you guys think? They obviously don’t need supplemental heat right? It feels too young to put them out but I’ve always brooded chicks in the winter so I have them inside for months. Tell me it’s fine, put them out and let them be splashy piggies outside.
Thanks y’all.
Also anybody here feed fermented duck feed? I ff my chickens but wanted to check some info for ducks.

Let us ouuuuuutttttt

I'd put them outside they will love the room. Temps sounds good too. I feed Fermented feed have for at least 7-8 yrs lost track. All my birds eat it chickens ducks and geese.
as long as they are out of drafts they should be fine with deep bedding to cuddle down into.

They will have an 8x12 duckling pen. With a pool. And their house is a formex chicken coop. Without roosts. I’ll fill it with shavings so they can snuggle.
As for feed, how do you feed your ducklings? With my chickens, I fill up their trough in the am. They eat it all in the first couple hours then it’s forage only for the rest of the day. With babies, I want them to have food cos they are growing at lightening speed. Should I just feed them a couple times a day?

I keep the ff out at all times if your using ACV to make it it won't mold as easy just keep it out of the sun. Once mine are 4 weeks old I stop giving it to them over night. This year when my Runners hadn't touched their feed over night which was around 4 weeks I took the feed and water up over night. you can use Rubber bowl for feed just make sure it's heavy enough if they put their foot on the edge that they can't tip it up. Or I also use a goat feeder which hangs over a board. It's like a trough but has a section that comes down over they stick their heads through so my chickens can't get into it and scratch the feed out. You may just have to try different things till you get one you like. They are messing no matter what you use.
