We just got two ducklings and they’re about 3 weeks old. This morning we noticed one has been sneezing and her breathing sounds clogged. She’s eating and drinking just fine and still seems very active. We put VetRX in their water and are giving them probiotics. We have chickens, but is there something specific in ducks that this could be? Thank you!

Are they in a brooder? Brooder pneumonia can happen if bedding stays wet and heat lamp causes mold. Do they have a way to clean their nares out real good?
They are in a brooder. I clean it 3 times a day usually so it’s never wet for long. They’ve got a waterer large enough for them to dip their beaks in and they go for daily swims. They also have one of the heat bridges so it’s not a lamp. I gave her a steam shower to try to decongest her and then let them have a long swim to clean out any gunk from her nose. She’s still sounding a little clogged up

Could you upload a video of the ducklings exhibiting the symptoms you're noticing?
If you could also post a few pictures of what you're keeping them in, that may also be helpful.
I would suggest against using VetRX in their water since it does have the potential of decreasing their water intake since the ingredients are so potent smelling; most birds do not find it appealing.

Yes I can! We put the VetRX in a separate container so they still have their normal fresh water. I just give them the bowl of VetRX water every now and then for them to drink from. I’ll get the videos and photos now

Here’s the brooder set up. I clean it multiple times a day (usually when i notice it’s wet/dirty). There’s a heat plate hidden under some of the shavings as well as the yellow heater. Im having trouble uploading the video, but it was difficult to hear anyways. It sounds like a faint crackling/wheezing. Almost how a human with allergies sounds.

Could you add a water dish at least a few inches deep so they can dunk their whole head in? I would try that, and hopefully, you'll see some improvement soon.
