Duckling waterer?

I did that with my TSC duckling way back in August and one time it cut their little neck. so I am never doing that again.
you have to cut the hole large enough they aren't dragging their necks over the opening but can easily stick their heads inside. I have used this waterer many times and never had any problems.

We use mason jar chicken waterers but put marbles in the water tray to reduce the risk of drowning (which actually has happened before we did that).

I think you could use that water. Although they might grow out of it fast and you would need to refill it quite often. I used a waterer similar to that and they grew out of it after a few weeks. This is a picture of the one that I am currently using I bought at tractor supply. I feel it up in the morning, and usually all the water is gone before 12. I also love in South Carolina so it gets pretty hot. It holds 5 quarts of water and I still refill it often. So that water would work, but it would have to be temporarily.
