duckling with hurt leg

all good with the ducklings....they are getting big fast, as expected....

can I give them a bath? or do I need to wait until they get feathers?

They are adorable! I cannot believe how much they’ve grown Jolene is a perfect name!

just a little over 4 weeks....and they really have grown

the blue drake's name is jagger, so, jolene works for that biggest fawn & white....we have other names picked out---jalynn, jazelle, jasmine, jobeth....when they get grown we will put a colored band on their leg & give the others a name...the turkey hens all have a colored band are are named---fiona, fatima, & fran, the tom's name is farimer....farimer took the late fritz's place after his untimely demise at the hands of a no good varmint....for the moment I haven't named the guineas, except the ones that are easily recognizable.....

ducklings (ducks) are getting really big....6 weeks old almost....

I'll be working on their temporary outside pen today....once they get fully adjusted to being outside I'll turn them those to free range....

update....ducklings about 7 weeks old & getting bigger fast....

outside pen completed....still undecided about putting a top on the pen....might be needed to keep the goat out....branches overhead, plus half the pen is covered....

pictures don't show the whole pen, will get some posted soon....their pen is an old trampoline with vinyl coated chicken wire around the sides & the part you bounce on folded back in half....there is a piece of tin along the north side....

Where’s their coop or house? Boy they sure have grown, they are beauties

Do they have a secure house? And no secure top on their pen? It’s just a matter of time before the predators show up an take advantage of your set up. Those precious ducklings need security.
