Duckling with leg issue - any ideas?

I’m so sorry I missed these posts and I’m sad to hear about that other duckling 😢

Our ducklings are still doing pretty well. We do about 30 minutes of tub time everyday, although admittedly they don’t get out and walk around probably as much as they should, but it’s been tough with this weather.

We switched them to Nature’s Best Organic Duck Crumbles, which has an added niacin supplement, so we have laid off the brewer’s yeast, but we’re also giving about a little less than a quarter cup of peas with 1 ml of Durvet High Level Vitamin B Complex to each of the ducks everyday.

I’ve noticed that the duckling that had the bent leg (the Khaki) sometimes crosses over its feet. I’m going to link a video. I’m not 100% sure if that’s from a previous niacin deficiency, our slippery hardwood floors, or something we can still try to correct, so if anyone has any advice then I would appreciate it!

Thanks for all the advice and feedback!

That looks like a niacin deficiency that little one need it's own 1ml of liquid b complex daily.
They sure are adorable. ♥️
keep up the tub time that is so good for them.

Thank you for responding so quickly! They’re each getting 1 ml of the Durvet High Level Vitamin B Complex poured over peas. I usually give a little extra to account for anything that gets on the glass bowl rather than the peas. 1 ml per duck was what I saw recommended, so do you think I should be giving more or just wait to see improvements? I saw some people say you can give too much niacin so that’s why I backed off on the brewer’s yeast, but I could add that back as well?

I would stay at 1 ml per duckling they will pee out any that their body doesn't need. You can also use Nutritional yeast over their feed at 1 Tab per cup of feed. I'd keep this up until 10-12 weeks of age this is when they are growing the fastest.
My flock are all adults but 2 2 week old Runners they all get Nutritional yeast on their feed everyday.

Hi @Miss Lydia - Another day, another duck problem 😩

My dog was quick and got one of their bills through the crate. I feel so bad! I’ve read they just heal on their own, just provide access to clean water. Anything else you advise?
