Thank you so much for all your info and help. I really appreaciate everyone who has replied. -They LOVE bath time! They swim and paddle around like pros. (With me watching of course) pepper does really well in the water. You can see when she swims that one leg sticks farther out and not tucked in by her side like normal. When she gets tired I can tell bc she ends up swimming in circles bc the leg difference. Other than that she can get around better in the water than dry land. She also LOVES getting blowdried after. She has a hard time standing for that. The little force of air even held away from her to not be too hot makes her fall over so she usually end she up cupped in my hand so she isn’t falling. I’m posting a pic of her relaxing for her blow dry you can see how she folds one foot up when she’s not using it. She walks on it flat and correctly but when she rests she collapses it. And another shot where you can kind of see how one leg is farther from bodyThey do produce some dandruff nothing like chicks though. And when feathers begin to come in that can make them itch too. I am looking to see if B's deficiency can cause it but hopefully it will help. Sounds like a good plan for Pepper and Peaches. Do the like their bath time? how does Pepper do in the water?
Oh I know what ur talking about!!! I considered it but when I saw she wasn’t curling it while walking I thought maybe not an issue and she is so turned in with her feet she steps on her own feet. They over lap really badly I didn’t know if it would cause her more frustration. But yes I’ll get ready to do this. I’ll watch- The moment she curls it while wanting to walk it’s shoes for her!!! I’ll have supplies ready ha. And yes. Pepper is the sweetest little love of a duckling I don’t know what it is she just bonded with me in a special way. She’s adorable.https://sites.google.com/a/poultrypedia.com/poultrypedia/poultry-podiatry if you scroll way down this page you'll see info on making shoes also.
Oh my gosh this little baby is soooo adorable! My girls are doing well! Growing FAST! Pepper is doing maybe 15% better. It’s a slight improvement on her feet overlapping and seems to be getting a tad bit stronger. I’m not sure if maybe she has a few issues though. Her one leg is really growing out to the side. I’ve never seen that in these forums. It’s just going a different way kind of. We’re still doing the vit B liquid 1ml twice a day for her and giving her time to swim and play. She seems happy just hoping her leg evens out. It almost looks like a hip issue maybe?![]()
How are Pepper and Peaches doing today?
Oh man. Yes she’s a sexed duckling !!! I didn’t know that was dangerous for her oh my god. Poor baby. It seems to be getting worse. Crap ok so I should tape her upAnd it very well could be. If someone vent sexed her that could cause the hip to be put out of joint. Could even be a birth defect. You could try hobbles to see if it helps get her legs in proper alignment. I am glad to hear your seeing improvement in Pepper.
