So tomorrow I'll post pics I hope.

Today a bunch of cute ducklings hatched. But its dark out so I can't get pics till morning.

Because someone complained about the ducks I can't keep the ducklings though...

But I'm not sure what the ideal time is to separate them from the broody mother? What do you think on this?

The duck mom is such a good mom. She was never aggressive and acted like she was happy whenever she saw me. She even let me give her treats and see and handle the ducklings. This surprised me a lot because I'd seen videos where duck moms hiss at people coming up to them, and she never did that.

So this made me want to investigate when is the best time to separate them from her? I should sell them with a cheap ad or something. But I don't know if its better to wait for them to be a week old, or do it right away (Which would suck for the mom), or wait longer?

Are they a pure-bred breed? If they are you might be able to sell them for a higher price....... In my opinion I would sell them at 1-2 weeks. Hope this helped you out!

For me it's 3 weeks when I sold any. That is when moms are starting to tire of them and it's easier for me to take them from her, Thankfully I've only had to do this 3 times since it's so hard for me to part with them.

Very sorry someone complained. :(
