Ducklings are Hatching!!!

Well it's all over she has 4 healthy ducklings and are they adorable, well what i can see of them, I candled the last eggs and they had stopped developing before ducklings started [had to open] . anyway as soon as Emmie[mama] remembers she can walk I'll try to post pics, right now she is just hovering over them with her tail wagging and any of us who have Muscovies knows what that means. lol I've been hit by post broody poop before, oh my goodness

Thanks we lost one last eve, went out to lock everyone up and this little one was laying in the shaving by itself thought it was already dead, but we brought it in and warmed it up but it didn't make it. Since i haven't been handling them I was just watching her from afar didn't notice anything was wrong, but wish i had gone out earlier we may have been able to save it, my dh thinks it was just meant to be. I don't know but sad. Now I am watching closer in case i have to bring them all inside since it's getting into 20's tonight, a little nervous.

I would go with it was meant to be. I don't envy you having to deal with those low temps. There has been a time or two when I'm sure that I would have lost one if the weather was worse. Like, the other day I got home and one of the ducklings was stuck in some fencing in the run. I have no idea how long it had been there but I'm sure I would have lost it if I didn't live in FL.
