Ducklings are Hatching!!!

Oh man! I totally agree! I know just how you feel- the minute you see those darling little faces you get attached.
I view mine as my babies

!!! My mother thinks I am absolutely insane....

you know what is so neat, they begin to like us too. We got 3 girls 3 months old for our youngest drake last september and they had never had any human contact except to have the man bring them food. I was so sad when we brought them home because they were so scared of us. Now they will follow our youngest drake in the house[ he was a house duck for 3 months] and will eat out of our hands. It's such a good feeling when you know you've won their trust. I could probably never leave my home and still be the happiest person because my animals make me happy. Pretty corny huh?

Never corny! I love my ducks -somedays I wish I would never have to leave them ... (sometimes I like them more than people

!) My duck, Ming-ming will always eat out of my hand! We have such trust! There is such love in that ducks face!!! Sunny and Skippy ,who I believe is a drake, do not. Although oddly enough, one time Sunny ate out of my hand! We're getting some trust from them though!
I just love them! I thank God all of the time for them!!!!!!!!

Well thought I'd move mama and ducklings back out to their house and Finally got some pics. Mama was not happy with me at all and pooped in the crate so sorry for fresh poop in the pic. lol course we all see it so it's no biggie, better the crate than me. lol so here they are. ALL Girls of course

the one in the front has a very dark Chocolate head. but i don't think i have a blue or fawn in this bunch but thats okay I love them even if they were purple.

Well, I had 2 goslings, but one passed today. So I have a gosling and a ducky baby.

I found out a few days ago, I have a broody to! Chicken though. She has 14 eggs. Used to have 15 but one cracked. Again, congrats to you and mama duck!

Thanks DG and so sorry to hear about your gosling, we lost one of our ducklings on Sunday. I'm glad you gosling has a baby duck to keep it company. and CONGRATs on the broody.!!
