Ducklings legs bowed by food is medicated with proper vitamins.

My Ducklings legs are bowed I believe they are at least six weeks old considering the size they weren't new borns when I got them either. I have been feeding them and my baby chicks the same feed but it has 45 mgs of niacin in it, I am also starting them up on chick boost that has will hopefully provide them with even more niacin. I am also moving them into a bigger enclosure on Monday as that's when it's been delivered. I'm worried about them and trying my best but it feels like nothing is working.

Try some nutritional yeast to mix in, some duck breeds need quite a bit of niacin.

you don’t have to worry about overdosing niacin because it’s water soluble. add 1TBSP NUtritional yeast to every 1 cup of feed.

in a situation like yours, where the birds need a boost of niacin fast , many of us use this , 1 ml per day per bird, over a treat like meal worms or given directly orally - but be careful not to aspirate the birds

one more thing, if you do give any kind of treat to administer the liquid B complex be sure to provide size appropriate grit on the side in a dish near the food

Agree with Jenbirdee - go straight to the liquid vitamin B complex when you're in a situation where damage has already been done. She should receive at least 1 ml a day - put it over food or a treat, but make sure the duckling in need definitely consumes it. If the other ducklings get it as well that will not hurt them. She just needs at least 1 ml a day!

Ducklings need 55ppm (or mg/kg) niacin in their feed. Jumbo Pekin.. need around 75 ppm.. in order to avoid the bowed legs.
