Ducks 101

Pics
How tall and wide should the door into the coop be?
Also how high can the coop be off the ground? Can it be tall enough for ducks to go under it? I know they would need a ramp.
The door for the ducks or like a man door? I’ll have to measure mine, but it’s not very big, maybe 12” x 18”, that’s just a guess.

You can make the coop off the ground, but keep in mind ramps for ducks are harder than a chicken. We had to make an extra wide ramp with a guard rail. But our coop has room for them to go under it. I’ll try and get some pics for you tomorrow. But I would say the under neath is only a foot or two tall and they love going under there.

The duck door into the coop is what I'm talking about, I should have clarified.
How steep is your ramp?

It’s not very Steep, maybe a little steeper than I’d like but the way our coop is set up I don’t have a choice. I’ll get you some pics tomorrow.
Ok! Thanks for getting some pics!
Anyone else feel free to share pics of your coop and run, I would love to see them!

No measurements yet, just grabbed a couple pics while I let them out this morning

Here you can see their coop door in size comparison to one of my big ol pekins. They definitely duck when they come in and out but it’s never been an issue.

Here’s the ramp, you can also see part of the under the coop area (to the left). It looks shorter in this pic than it is. They cant stand up totally under there but they all love it and go under there willingly.

Our coop is in no way what I would have done or picked. It was here when we moved here, custom built and it’s actually pretty nice so we’ve made it work.

Thanks for the pictures!
Do you think it would be best to just have the coop on the ground?
