ducks acting weird?

i have 2 ducks one's a male and one's a female they are normally very loud when i go near them and their even noisy when no one is around but recently they have been being very quite and not quacking at all their about 3 months old and i was told that they might start laying eggs soon so i was wondering if that could be why or if they are sick or just unhappy, thanks.

It's hard to say. i don't think they will be laying eggs at three months. Are they eating? How is their poop? Are their keels thin? Are there any stray animals in the area that might be spooking them?

I am wondering same/ stray animals? I'd take a real close look at you set up to make sure it is very secure, something maybe scaring them. but also as enchanted said how are they looking, feeling, eating, drinking anything changed at all? when i say feeling I mean you literally pick them up and examine them looking for weight any wounds etc.
