Hi all! So, my runners and chickens started to lay again back in late January/early February, but it's been a week now with no eggs and I'm worried in case there's something wrong. They are all eating well, drinking fine and acting perfectly normal. We have had some snow this week and I thought maybe they had stopped laying due to the temperature dropping this week, but I don't even know if that's something that happens. They were previously laying every day, if not then every other day. Any advice or even theories on the situation would be greatly appreciated!

Temperature influence isn't really a thing. There is probably something else afoot to stress them. They will likely be fine long term.
Maybe there was a predator threatening them when you weren't around.

They are very secure in both the run and the coop, but there is a cat that hangs out near the greenhouse at the top of our plot. He's completely harmless and never goes near the run, other than passing by to get to the greenhouse.

They've got plenty of grit, food and water in their run, they have lots of space to lay their eggs and their run is covered by tarp due to bird flu, but also they aren't visible to any birds of prey in the area.

Is there anything else it could be?

So I'm gonna just assume that's typical Runner duck MO then. Because our female quit laying, molted, then around Jan she started laying again. But only for about 12-14 days & quit. Now we are well into March & she just has not laid again.
Sounds like that's what they do. She's not even a year old but will be soon.

My girlies are all almost 2 now and my cayugas haven't laid at all this year. My ISA brown's have also stopped, which is odd.

What brand of feed are ya'll using? I have been reading some things about Purina that are troubling. I haven't used Purina for years and so far out of 13 hens and 12 waterfowl I only have one duck and 3-4 chicken hens laying.

We use the Mole Valley brand (I'm from the UK). They've had this all their adult lives and no issues. It's just so bizarre!
