Ducks and ducklings with diarrhea. What to do?

I went and got some probiotics and started that and got some Apple cider vinegar too. Will give the probiotics for 3 days then the raw apple cider vinegar in thier water. I clean their food dishes out and change the brooder towels twice a day. (I tried wood shavings and they ate it), I found a window had been left open all night by them and they were chilled. They have a Brisnea Eco warmer plate they sit under, and it's 73 in here. Only one now is having poop issues but will give all of them the probiotics. They get the same foods and clean water and a little bit of plain oatmeal every day, nothing else. Amd I havent let them outside yet as it's been very windy and cold here.

My Runners ate shavings when they were little, too. And one of them always had loose brown stool, no matter what...

Just an update the ducklings are doing better and thier poops are going back to normal! So 3 days with a chick probiotic did the trick.

When I give them fresh greens (weeds from garden), my duckling 's poo gets dark brown and very wet. When it eats grains or starter feed for a while, droppings become almost completely dry. They get smelly when I leave it forage around the garden, hunting for various bugs. High protein food that makes their poo smell awful.

My duck won't touch grainy stuff for a while when I get her outside. Bugs and weeds are just way too delicious. She loves greens. Practically everything I have given her so far. She is more picky about bugs and won't touch colorado beetle larvae.

Hello
I'm wondering if the chick start as an only food is giving my ducks who are 5weeks old watery doo? Should I change their food to the 18% wildlife stuff?? Cause they are the same size as my chicks who are 5 mo old???

At 5 weeks, they can eat other stuff as well, but main feed should still be chick starter. Adding some yeast to boost niacin level, especially if ducks don't forage (due to winter or enclosure).
Ducks start very fast! They grow fast at first and then at one point stop growing and begin getting a bit fatter and invest a lot of their energy into feathering-up. In the next couple of weeks, they will be mature enough and you will be able to change their feed. I wouldn't do it yet, they may be too young and it's winter and they may not get enough food from foraging.

Get a CHick probiotic that you can get from a feed store (It comes in a packet like a yeast packet a strip of 3) and use that in thier water for 3 days. You can add a a few drops of apple cider vinegar to thier water. You mix ONE of the 3 packets in 1 gallon of water and use it for one day then make a fresh batch the next day as it doesent keep very long.
