Ducks and Geese

I have 3 ducks, female Peking, female khaki and male khaki. I'm interested in getting a 4th something that is female. Can one goose live happily with ducks or do they need other geese? What kind of goose would do well in this situation? Do geese lay eggs like ducks? Will a male duck try to mate with a goose and will it hurt her?

My Friend got Geese this spring and now needs to make separate houses and pens because the Geese attack her Ducks and Chickens..

Geese need geese and unless free ranging would be best not penned up with other poultry. I have geese and ducks and chickens they are fine together free ranging.

My geese are pretty good with my ducks. They do break up mating sometimes, but that isn’t an entirely bad thing.

I suppose it depends upon your definition of penned up. They’re all together in a fenced in area. No one is in an enclosed small area like a coop ever.

My research said that geese don’t like being in coops, they prefer a three sided roofed shelter. I have one, and I’m building another. I haven’t seen any of the geese sleeping in one.

That’s what I meant, mine are in a little over half acre I could not imagine mine in any type of pen my gander and drake hate each other!

I honestly don’t think some of my ducks would do that great cooped up together!

So it looks like a goose is out of the question.

So i have 2 khakis and a Peking, can the fourth be a different breed and do fine with just being ducks? The Peking does ok, but she is special and I don't know if I want another and take that away from her.
