DUCKS ARE STARTING TO PIP ABOUT 2 DAYS EARLY. SHOULD I LOCK DOWN? HELP PLEASE!

9 pipped and none have actually hatched yet. 2 more to pip on the outside! I don't think I need safety holes for the other 2. They should pip soon since the others are doing it early.

They don’t all hatch at the same time so internal and external pips will be spaced apart
I would not worry. The wiggling you first saw was then moving into position
They can take 24-48 hours after external pip depending on how big the air cell was
If it’s small they will run out of air faster and external pip sooner but still have the same time needed to absorb. You said the air cells were small so this is very possible. You may not see any Progress now for a bit as they will be busy absorbing
You may see another pip or a few hair line cracks hours before they actually start to zip
Thos is very exciting !!
Keep lid closed and enjoy the really long and stressful wait lol

I will try this in a few more hours just to make sure. If they are in the AirCell and you can see the beak, then they have internally pipped, correct?

you can see the beak often, but sometimes you can't and can hear chirps or taps which means they have pipped internally!

10 pipped and the 11th one is still breathing and in the air cell. I haven't made a safety hole. I am terrified to. lol

it's okay! I remember that feeling!
I had to do a full assist for my duckling on Christmas day, I was so scared I felt sick all through Christmas dinner, lol.
I know it is scary, but if it has been more than 24 hours it could be a good idea to do one.
Simplest way is to use a clean screw, make sure the duckling isnt in the way then twist the screw very slowly without applying pressure, eventually you're left with a tiny tiny hole! But it does depend on air cell size and everything.
But if you don't want to, you dont have to! Hopefully you will have an external pip soon!

Th air cells are HUGE. Like really big. Only one was semi small and that one hasn't pipped but is pecking. I checked an hour or so ago.

I am hearing chirping and seeing beaks. One still hasn't pipped the outside, but I am confident she will all on her own. The others are unzipping those shells so fast. They are ready to be free of the shell. lol.

since she has a big air cell, she should have plenty of air, hopefully she pips soon!!

Don’t be alarmed if they stop and break to rest
Some start to zip and fly out in 10 mins others take hours
Can’t wait for pictures !!

One has hatched all of the way and the other is on the way!!! Still no pip in the one but she's chirping so I haven't put any holes myself. I bet all 11 of these Khaki's hatch. I did NOT follow recommended incubating either so that's crazy!
