Ducks ey closed and coughing

He's still eating like a pig and is drinking normal and acting normal. Just has a cough and this morning his eye is closed. Not home yet to see if his eye is still closed. Once he started walking he would open it just a tad and then close it once he was where he wanted to be. Cough has been there a few days.

You can use a saline wash on his eye make it with warm water and salt then use a soft wash cloth and gently wash his eye out real good, was there gunk around it too?

He can probably stay out if he is acting normal.

Our garage is not heated and I wouldn't feel safe with him in the garage. A few years ago I bought a pair of sainette pigeons and had them in a cage in the garage to quarantine them from the others. Somehow a weasel got in there and killed my male so the garage is not an options as I don't want that to happen again. We did take care of the weasel and it was a few years ago.

There wasn't gunk around it this morning. I'll check when I get home. We are almost home. Had to take my son to the doctor. Ugg never ending for my babies my ducky babies too!!!

Okay well that is out of the question. what about tarp on the floor then pen and savings in kitchen or another part of the house. Although if your only bringing him in a xlarge dog kennel would work that's what I use here if I have to bring anyone inside, I have a hen[chicken] upstairs in my bedroom I put old towels down on the floor and used a coupe baby gates to section off a small area for her and have a med size dog kennel in there for her to sleep in. I have 5 dogs so she can't be down stairs.

So are you going to put them in the basement? I was thinking you said garage but them went back and reread it to find it was basement. How is he doing tonight?

Just got home and checked on him. It's dark and had to use the flashlight so what I can see is that he had his eye open but still coughing. I will check on him again in morning.

I just wanted to share my garage pen. It's 5'x8'x3' The inside is lined with pond liner to protect the wood from getting wet. The rest is scews, 2x4s and chicken wire. I put pine shavings on the bottom and scoop out the turds every morning.
