Duck's leg wobbling

Soaking bread in the liquid B was a bust. I stuck small pieces of bread as far down her throat as I could and she wouldn't swallow it. Then I tried throwing it to all of them as I would with a normal treat and they only ate the non-B-soaked bread. They hate the taste.

The thing is, it's really hard to even notice her wobbling. Nobody else can see it so maybe I'm just seeing things. 🤷‍♀️

I think I'm going to switch to Kalmbach Flock Maker feed anyway and hope it helps. Thinking the crumble would be more appealing than pellets and it has quite a bit more niacin than what I'm feeding now.

Put it into their drinking water as long as your not seeing the problem now.

I never tried giving them B complex on bread I have smashed a baby aspirin into a small piece of bread they have taken it that way. I use Mealworms otherwise. And I have seen where ducks wouldn't take the liquid B complex like that too so we just have to find the best way for our flocks. But My ducklings going on 6 weeks are only getting it in their drinking water since they aren't showing any signs of Niacin def. plus Nutritional yeast over their feed.

Thank you! How much liquid B complex to put in their drinking water? I'm afraid if I do that they will refuse to drink from their waterer and only drink from the pool, but I'd be willing to try.

My Mom finally noticed my duck's legs wobbling. I'm not making things up. :( I got the Kalmbach feed and they seem to like it. I put the B complex in their indoor waterer but I can't tell if they're actually drinking it or just splashing it out of the container. Anything else I can try? Is it a bad idea to not fill the pool so they only have access to the medicated water?

If her legs are still wobbly how about giving the B complex by mouth?

When they already have this problem it's best to give it by mouth or over a small amount of treat so you can be sure they get the whole dose.
I have tried giving it via syringe and on treats and both times they didn't swallow it and it got everywhere except where it needed to go. I can try again but I think I will need to find smaller syringes.

Are you using a 1ml? that works pretty good. Just be sure to get someone to hold the ducks wrapped in a towel to keep her still that way you have both hands to open the bill and use the syringe. It's a struggle when first doing this but it gets easier to where you will be able to do it by your self.

No, I only have 3ml syringes. The 1mls are hard to find around here, but I'll look for them when I go to town tomorrow. I did have help, but it was still tough - a couple of the ducks escaped when we tried to catch them. Is it easier to give medication at night or will that scare them too much? I've never had this much trouble giving chickens medication!

How many are you giving the B Complex too? I think these syringes are what diabetics use so maybe try a pharmacy. I have seen member use mealworms with the B complex over and their ducks scarfed them down.
