We are about to put our chickens and ducks in an outdoor coop, but when they are outside, the ducks try to hurt the chickens. What can we do?

I would reccomd trying to give them separate food and water sources. Ducks eat and drink a lot more than chickens, so be careful when doing that. Also ducks make water very muddy, and it can be unsafe for chickens to drink. Seperate food and water should work. Also, in the coops, bedding should be pink or hay, never straw. Chickens are susseptable to respritory diseases, and ducks not likely. Just note their differnces, and they should be fine. Ducks are big and dirty, chickens are generally smaller and cleaner. I keep my chickens and duck in separate coops with separate food an water, and it works out very well. They get along well, it's just ducks like to compete for food, and they overpower chickens. Hope this helps!
