Ducks with leg problems!

I was planning to anchor it in the middle of the pond. What all do you think might swim to get them? I just want them to be happy. But I don't want to set them up for failure.

I don't doubt they're around bc I hear them, but we've only seen one really old mangy one over a year ago on our game camera nearby. A fox every rare now & then. But I do know they're around & having ducks might lure them in. I wanted to install solar powered motion sensor cameras close enough to startle predators, or at least diminish the sneak up factor, but not so close that the ducks would set them off if they were hanging out on the edge for some reason.

I actually found a dead naked one in the pond the first week we moved in & I thought it was a dog until we got it out & saw his teeth & feet. Had no fur left.

We do too, Raccoons are terrible preds of ducks and dogs also so if you have roaming dogs. Seems we don't know what preds we have till we get poultry then they come out of the wood work so to speak. I have game camers set up and I even had a blk bear right here at the house, thankfully my dogs [mini dachshunds ]bark a lot and keep a lot of preds away, Thankfully the preds haven't ever seen them or they would probably fall on their back laughing.

Wonder who skinned the coon? turtles?
some fish will eat fur and also mammals bloat and their skin becomes spongy and it just fall out, i have seen it with deer that get shot and we are trying to track it
they always head to water, and after a day in the lake their fur is falling out in clumps
