Dumb chickens

Anyone else have dumb chickens? Lol I bought these waters

I've tried for 2 months to get them to use them. I've filled the cups multiple times for them with no avail. Alas I have no ordered these cups to see of they will use them

I tried the first type you show without luck but the cups without the levers work very well. I’m not so sure it’s that they are dumb, but perhaps lazy in my case. While several of them knew how to use it, they usually waited for another pullet to do the work (press the lever) before running up to drink the water.

I am currently using the first one, they go up to it and hold the yellow part down until the cups full then they drink and do it again until they are not thirsty anymore

Mine don't even try they sit dry as a bone until I fill them up. They will run outside every morning and drink from the regular waterer in the run when the door opens. I full up the cups at night when I put them in I was trying to convert to a 5 gallon bucket system instead of this old style

Same experience with mine. They refused to have anything to do with the nipple-type or any peck-for-water waterers. But the auto-fill cups are working great! A bit of nuisance to clean after dirty beaks and kicked-up dirt get in there, but waaaay better than the old style saucer type.

Mine are the exact same way. Its generally 2 of the 6 that will peck at the yellow lever. When either one of those two do that, the rest come running.

Mine never figured it out either. There was a small leak and they would try and drink from that rather than the cups.
