Dumb question, but I have to ask

I cannot say for all roosters, but mine crow in the morning, in the afternoon and at night. Whenever they feel like it. And exspecially if it is a full moon.......lol

Once in a blue moon Ese will forget to crow in the morning.... My favorite thing is to wake him up....his feathers get very rumpled over it...another is watching him during the day building himself up ( fluffing feathers and flapping his wings) to let it all out...He also knows the sound of my car and crows hello as I'm driving up...he has a cute crow with a little sigh at the end that kills me... he loves to crow about fresh eggs...his future spawn...and don't think he doesn't know it.......one author of a stupid book suggested putting them in a shorter roost to keep them from stretching their necks to crow....Ese scoffs at that....if he wants to he will crow under water... He's the Man! Roosters sometimes get a bad name....but I love his crow...I'm a Rooster convert....If I could have all Roosters I would!

I use to have a rooster that would crow at 2am never fail. I would be like are you kidding me!

My roos crow all the time.

We can walk out there at any time of the night and at least one of them will crow. DH says they are crowing at 4:15 when he gets up for work. I can't hear them from my room so the crowing doesn't bother me.

Mine crows all the time.

I once had a neighbor how had never been around chickens. She came home early and the neighbors rooster crowed. She called and was scared something wrong was about to happened because the rooster crowed at 4:30 pm.
