It totally IS a learning process! I learn something everyday! I love this site, but I also go DAILY (usually SEVERAL times!) to these other sites.. don't know if you're familiar with them:
Fresh Eggs Daily
My Pet Chicken
Chicken Chat
I Love Keeping Chickens
Those are ALL great sites with awesome info on ANYTHING chicken! Check them out!! Also, you know about that poop board..my husband built me a slide in tray and do you know we've NEVER even used it? All I do every morning is use a cat litter scoop and I scoop out their poop with it, which is ONLY in two areas.. one under each of my girls??!! I put SO much worry into HOW to design that because everyone told me "Ooooh they poop SO much at night".. well honestly, I have yet to see that?? I mean, YES, there's a little pile of poop.. but it's just right on top of my pine shavings and I just scoop it out then turn the shavings some.. That's IT!! SO.. anyways I just thought I'd share that with you. Also, how many and what breed of chickens do you have? I have a Barred Rock named Daisy and an Easter Egger named Olivia and they're 21 weeks old!! I'm sending some pictures!! Best of luck ALWAYS!!
This is my coop that we have in our screened lanai.
This is their outside daytime play area!!
This is my Daisy Dukes!!
This is my Olivia!!
