Also how do you keep your chickens in your yard? I tell them that they're highly trained.

It's OK. I have plenty of family in MI and most of them are Lions fans. A couple are traitorous Patriots fans though.

I grew up in the Rocky Mountains several hours North of Denver. The Broncos were the only NFL team for thousands of miles. They have been and always will be my team. I guess it's the "home team" thing.

I was browsing state and county codes today (mostly out of curiosity, a little bit so that I could quote them to the next idiot who decides that it my responsibility to fence their dog out of my 5 acres if I don't want it harassing livestock). Anywhoo... as I browsed those codes I found out that 1. There is NO noise code, public nuisance etc regarding animals, not dogs livestock or otherwise where I live... and 2. I can have up to 9,000 "laying poultry" before I have to be permitted as a "concentrated animal feeding operation."

Watch out cranky neighbors who didn't want me to get chickens because they didn't want to have to start keeping their dog on their own property... I just might invest in 8,986 more hens to spite you!

I was referring to my family in MI who abandoned their home team (Lions) due to such an abysmal record to become Patriots fans. lol

I really like Russell Wilson, but am very happy that my Broncos won't be playing the Seahawks this year!

And to bring things back to chickens... Did you know that Denver Broncos Superbowl MVP Von Miller is a chicken lover? It all started with needing another class in college to make full time status. He said "put me in the chicken class" and in interviews days he had every intention of sleeping through it. The professor had other ideas, made him participate, and he ended up loving it so much that he changed his major. He keeps quite a large backyard flock now and says he wants to raise chickens after retiring from the NFL.

When I was trying to sell eggs as a teen, one of my parents co-workers told me I should just give the eggs away since I get them for "free".

I worked odd jobs for neighbors to support my chickens. Sadly, most people still have this view on me selling my eggs, especially since I want $1 more than walmart sells eggs for. I haven't ever sold anymore than two dozen.
I did however give away eggs when I knew neighbors and friends are having rough times. I would still do this. Its just the arrogance of people who can afford to buy eggs, wanting them for free.
