McDonald's is an insult to FOOD.

But maybe I'm just biased because I can't digest what they serve.

My bias is that it's not real food; it's Frankenfood. <shudder>

How sad that your beautiful, fresh, sustainable, natural eggs will no longer be wasted on yet another ignoramus. <sniff, snivel> Talk about casting "pearls before swine" ... !

I don't understand the brown / white egg thing? Maybe because I grew up in New England "(song) Brown eggs are local eggs and local eggs are fresh" We always bought brown eggs, only bought white for Easter to color. Always thought brown eggs were Superior, now I know they're not.

Brown eggs are the standard here in the supermarkets. My Lakenvelder chickens lay white eggs. My mother-in-law had some problems with that in the beginning. Now she askes for the white eggs, because they taste so good. And I have to admit that those white eggs have more taste than the brown one's my kind-of-wyandottes lay.

Down here the white eggs are usually the plain store eggs, and the brown eggs are the "organic" "cagefree" "freerange" "vegetarian" etc. So I have some people that only want brown eggs because they are better for you, and the green/blue eggs are lower in choesterol . There is some truth to that at the brown, becaue how the chickens are fed, but at home, all my chickens eat the same food. I try to tell people, but I usually get, "I only eat brown eggs because they are better for you", so they just get brown eggs.

A lot of people also think that a blood spot means the egg is fertile

My parents won't let me get a rooster because we sell the eggs and some people don't like fertile eggs, because they feel like they are eating baby chicks.
