Here's a couple people have asked me:
Do they bite? X10 (they are talking about the chickens)(people constantly ask me if chickens bite!!

If i put the egg in a cage will it hatch?? (OMG)
Is that a hen? (Somebody asked that when they saw a rooster crow!)

the biting comment I would rather have them ask that out of respect and ignorance than to walk up to an animal and get themselves hurt. Sure it sounds silly to us but when you think of the alternative it's a good question.

It's always good to ask if something bites.

I have a few birds that will bite. I've had them draw blood even. They get me if I startle them. And the new girls who don't know me well enough yet have gotten me, one wouldn't let go after she got the bite. Or there are broodies who get very cranky when you try and collect eggs, or check the ones they are on.

lol! my chickens will peck you if you are really annoying them, but they prefer to just run away and hide in the nesting box of the coop.
