I had a barred rock pullet who laid and egg for the first time and my new hampshire hen jogged alongside her and talked to her, I thinks she was giving her the "your a woman now" speach, and I think she was telling her that she contributes now.
Can u have ur hen give my girls that talk too? Lol. My 3 sex links r almost 16 weeks so I'd love an egg soon. ;-) lol

You might tell he that a lot of people in other countries eat grasshoppers, too. That ought to make her day.
Quite true. My wife is from South Korea, and before they started spraying with pesticides they ate grasshoppers.

Friend: will u eat it?
Me: no... I don't eat dog...
Friend: a cyotes not a dog

:goodpost: I agree, I have only hear the citrus thing here on BYC, I put AVC (apple cider vinegar) in my chickens water and pretty sure that is more acidic than citrus.  Other than that it has a lot of Vit C, but pretty sure that is good for all creatures.  Don't claim to be an expert though, LOL!  Love this thread!  Really like the owl comment and tumors, people are so funny.  Some I "get", some just makes be want to give the "Really???"
The only reason I don't give my girls orange peels is because someone told me not to. Lol. I have no real data on it but I err on the side of caution since I'm so new at this and plus if there was ever going to be a sick or dying chicken cuz of citrus, w/ my luck it would be mine!! It's just the way my luck goes lmao

Jeez, with everyone's knowledge of animal husbandry, I sure wish someone could solve the mystery of why my poodle is all of a sudden VERY flatulent. :-/. Uggggg
